VOIP
Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) is simply a normal analogue phone call with your existing handset or cordless phone, via a digital converter, through your broadband Internet connection and to the regular PSTN/analogue phone of another person.
This technology passes through your broadband connection and bypasses your telephone exchange, so is therefore not registered by your phone carrier as a phone call.
